A Teacher's Crime is a 2008 American-Canadian TV movie directed by Robert Malenfant. Main characters are Ashley Jones as the teacher Carrie Ryans and Erik Knudsen as her student Jeremy Rander.
The drama is about a female high school teacher and a male student in his senior year (an orphan). He pretents to be in need of attention and they become friends. He and his uncle is making up a masterplan so she gets in a trap. This ends up in several crimes against her and her father committed by Jeremy and/or his uncle. The reason is to get to her money, e.g. a blackmailing for $500,000 after sending her intimidating photographs of the private meetings between her and Jeremy. The blackmailers knew she inherited money from her deceased millionaire father.
